We are in the third week of fashion week and things are starting to pick up. In Milan, Dolce and Gabbana showcased their spring/summer 2021 men’s fashion looks and all I can say is, it’s looking blue. One thing is for sure, the viewers were sitting way too close to one another. Some wore masks over their mouths and not their noses. The models also didn’t wear any masks at all. If I was there, I would be too scared of COVID-19 to be enjoying the men’s fashion week show.
Dolce and Gabbana 2021 Summer Looks
While we may still be in 2020 (most of us wishing we can turn back time, or forward it) we can at least look forward to next year. One thing we can look forward to is a variety of blue fashion pieces for men. Dolce and Gabbana 2021 men’s fashion week showcased a number of looks we will enjoy including:
- Wide range of blues
- Geometric patterns
- Wide pant legs
- Two-colors jeans
- Roman motif
- Oversized sleeves
These are just a few of the things we can expect next spring/summer from Dolce and Gabbana.
After getting over the initial shock of people sitting next to each other wearing masks (not six feet apart) I was able to refocus on the show. I noticed a lot of geometric patterns and different shades of blues; light and dark. The wide long shorts made me think of the 90s and the Roman motifs took me back to my college art history class. Not as if I remember anything but it just gave me some serious flashbacks.
I am not sure how I feel about the wide two-tone jeans but we will have to see it in action next year to give it a solid review. However, I did enjoy the layered looks of different shades of blue.
Overall 2021 Men’s Summer Fashion
What I gathered from the 2021 spring/summer men’s fashion week is that blue is going to be the “it” color. There were different shades of light blue and navy that just blend it well together. The colors of the Dolce and Gabbana show were blue, white, and gold, with a touch of black. We should also expect to see a lot of geometric shapes on shirts, pants, leisure wear, sweaters and other attire. Suits will have two tones, either around the collar or some sort of added color variation. All in all, the show looked good and at least the designers wore their masks covering their mouth and nose!
Are you looking forward to 2021 men’s fashion?
